The PT Compact Home State Audit: What It Checks and What to Do

In the PT Compact Commission’s words: “Throughout the year, the PT Compact Commission (PTCC) conducts audits to verify that the home state (permanent residence) indicated on an individual’s compact privilege application is and continues to be their home state.” “If proof of home state is not provided, the PTCC has grounds to terminate any active compact privilege(s) for failure to provide requested information to the PTCC within the specified timeframe (Rule 3.12).”

Why did the PT Compact ask me to upload my driver's license?

Can my compact home state be the state where I was first licensed?

“As defined by Commission Rules, a licensee's home state means the person's true, fixed, and permanent home and is the place where the person intends to remain indefinitely, and to which the person expects to return if absent without intending to establish domicile elsewhere.” “Jamie must live in an active PT Compact member state and hold a license in that same state to be eligible to purchase a compact privilege.”

My privilege was terminated for not answering the audit. Can I appeal?

“The Notice of Compact Privilege Termination you were emailed includes steps for an appeal process.” “You will need to fill out the appeals form within the specified time frame to be considered for an appeal.
